How to Fix Amazon Instant Video Streaming in Ubuntu

If you’re an Ubuntu user who is trying to play Amazon Instant Videos but you’re encountering an error that looks like this:

You can fix this error with just a handful of commands. Pull up a terminal window and run these:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:mjblenner/ppa-hal
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install hal

Close and re-open Firefox and now the videos should load! Note that this fix doesn’t appear to work for Chrome.
